We start by understanding your situation
We start with your nationality, current location and present or past authorisations. A job offer, business plan or previous stay does not lead to the same route in every case.
Employment
We assess the permission and the job and employer documents, coordinating preparation with the business where appropriate.
Self-employment
We review the activity, qualifications, business documents, investment and any required licences.
Changing or continuing your residence
If you already hold permission, we assess modification, renewal or another route before starting a new application.
How we work on your application
- We identify the authorisation and who must take part in applying.
- We check personal, employment or business documents and identify what is missing.
- We agree preparation, filing and official communications covered by the work.
What to prepare for your consultation
- Passport, nationality and your current location.
- Current and past authorisations, visas, TIE cards and decisions, with validity dates.
- Job offer or contract and employer details for employment.
- Activity outline, experience, qualifications and planned investment for self-employment.
- Notifications and any approaching expiry dates.
Frequently asked questions
Is a job offer enough?
Not on its own. We check the route, your status and the conditions relating to the job and employer. The ordinary initial employment application is submitted by the employer or the appropriately authorised representative.
Can I apply while visiting Spain as a tourist?
It depends on the authorisation and where the application can be made. Being a tourist does not automatically allow an initial work application from within Spain.
Can I start work once I apply?
Filing does not give a right to work in every case. We check your current permission and the conditions, decision or registration required before starting.
What do you need if I want to open a business?
We assess your circumstances, the activity, qualifications or experience, investment and required permits. A business plan alone does not guarantee approval.
What if I am an EU citizen?
Ordinary initial residence and work permission is not the general route for EU, EEA or Swiss nationals. We check the regime applicable to you and, where relevant, your family.
Is a TIE the same as the authorisation?
The card documents immigration status but does not replace assessment of the permission and its conditions. We review the decision, validity and required documentation steps.
Can you assist an employer or someone in another province?
Yes. We can assess the matter online and coordinate documents with those involved. We explain any personal or consular steps that electronic handling cannot replace.
